About Eric Maina:

Tell us about your artistic background and experience. What led you to pursue art as a creative outlet?:

The death of a parent made me look for ways to numb the pain, and that is how I discovered art. That is my main motivation.

What inspires you as an artist? Are there specific themes or subjects that you find yourself drawn to?:

Life inspires me. That is all I can say.

What do you hope to communicate or evoke through your art? Is there a specific message or emotion that you strive to convey to your audience?

I would like to evoke reflection in people. Making people reconnect with their untapped emotions through art.

Are there any particular artists or art movements that have influenced your work? How have they shaped your artistic perspective?

No particular art movement can define me. But a lot of artists have inspired me. Sam yang, devin Elle Kurtz, Alberto Mielgo just to name a few.

How do you handle criticism or feedback on your artwork? How do you use it to grow and improve as an artist?

Constructive criticism is great.

Are there any specific goals or aspirations you have for your artistic career? How do you plan to pursue them?

I have a lot of goals. Become a world-class animator. Pioneer Animation production in East africa to tell african stories to a level that rivals Japan and Hollywood, etc.

1. "The Draw and Win Contest" is a Competition fully sponsored by BTechnologies Enterprises Limited. An Organization acting in compliance with International laws and the Laws of the Republic of Kenya.

2. It is an Online Talent Competition, which finds its operandi similar to other talent competitions like the America Got Talent show, The Big Brother Africa, MTN Project fame among others.

3. Registration to Participate in "Draw and Win Contest" is Completely FREE. Note this.

4. Like in every other Contest, "Draw and Win Contest" enshrines prizes for Its Winners.

1st Position: A Brush Set + An Award Plaque + a Monetary award of KSh120,000 (One Twenty Thousand Kenyan Shillings only)

2nd Position: A Monetary award of KSh30,000 (Thirty Thousand Kenyan Shillings only)

3rd position: A Monetary award of KSh20,000 (Twenty Thousand Kenyan Shillings only)

5. Winners of "Draw and Win Contest" are selected by a Simple-Majority Voting system.

6. The Voting system entails a transparent form of anyone visiting a contestant voting link and then voting for them. 1 vote is KSh30 (Thirty Kenyan Shillings only). And anyone can vote for a contestant as much times as possible.

7. Payment made as Vote on any Contestant (while in contest and afterwards) would not be refunded.

8. In the Policy of enjoining Transparency, Live updates on scores of each Contestant, are made Public and available on the Contest’s website via https://magicalhandske.com/contest - coupled with personalized mails and text messages forwarded to each contestant daily.

9. As by Law, Participation in "Draw and Win Contest" is completely Voluntary and Contestant can discontinue at anytime, with the Caveat of Votes counted, being lost and not refunded.

10. "Draw and Win Contest" acts in Good faith in Accordance with International Laws and the Laws of the Republic of Kenya.
